This was part of a set of paintings I did for Heinz UK for merchandise about 10 years ago. The image was used on lunchboxes, lap trays, tea towels and sold through BHS, John Lewis and numerous retail outlets across the UK and Europe. The merchandise was discontinued when Heinz UK was bought by Packard in 2006.
The reason the bottle is stuck in the sandwich was to save me from having to paint the Houses of Parliament on the label!. Which is where HP sauce got its name.. House of Parliament.
