Last December I had a radial scar removed from my breast. I did not feel a lump and it was my doctor who found it during a routine exam when I was in renewing a prescription. A mammogram and biopsy followed and then surgery to remove the radial scar. It was benign and I was very lucky.
Breast Cancer Ireland is a registered charity, established to raise significant funding to support pioneering research programmes nationally, as well as to promote education and awareness on the importance of good breast health amongst women of all ages.
Their vision is to transform breast cancer from often being a fatal disease into a treatable long-term illness.
